Obituary of Valerie Lynn Boggio

    Graveside services for Valerie Lynn Boggio, 43, of Tyler, will be held 10:00am Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Mixon Cemetery, 4975 FM 177 East, Troup, TX 75789. Layman Mark Johnson will be officiating the services under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

    Valerie Boggio passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017. She was born August 18, 1974 in Joliet, Illinois to John W. Boggio and Cheryl Gregory Boggio. Valerie lived most of her life in the Tyler area, she worked as a secretary, and attended Cross Brand Cowboy Church in Tyler. Valerie never had a bad word to say about anyone. Above all, Valerie knew Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

    She is preceded in death by her mother Cheryl Gregory Slayton, grandparents Herb & Coylene Smith, grandparents Nick Gregory & Doris Gregory Kennedy, and grandfather Jack Boggio.

    Survivors include her parents, John & Linda Boggio of Mena, AR; chidren, Kayleigh Boggio of Longview and John David Varner of Crosby; sisters, Natalie Bass & husband Chris of Santa Fe, TX, Sherry Yancy of Overton, Kimberly Stout of Brownsboro, Alysia Tucker of Lindale, and Stacie Wyatt of Louisiana; brother, Sheridan Slayton of Lindale; stepfather, Ronald Lee Slayton of Lindale; grandchild, Colt McCoy; niece, Alex Bass; special friend Jeff Moon of Tyler; also, numerous other relatives and friends.

    Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Bass, Jeff Moon, Sheridan Slayton, Michael Tucker, Charles Wilson, and Heath Gregory.

    In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the hospice of your choice.
