Obituary of Patricia Ann Hugo

Obituary Patricia Ann Taylor Hugo (affectionately known as Annie)

Ann Hugo moved to Heaven Friday, September 1, 2017.

God blessed earth with Annie on March 3, 1933 in Wichita Falls, TX.  She is survived by her husband Bill Hugo and children Patricia & husband Ernie Gill, Theresa & husband Joe Hull, Carl & wife Ginger Hugo and James & wife Jennifer Hugo. Grandchildren Morgan, Aubrey, Zachary & wife Makenzie, Matthew, Ramie, Ryan, Blake and Corey. Great Grandchildren Caleb, Scarlett and Makynlee.

Preceded in death by her parents John & Sue Aubrey Taylor, brothers Glenn & Jim Taylor and Grandson Justin Graham Gill.

Bill and Ann married in 1950 and moved to the ‘Good Omen’ Ranch near Arp. Bill and Ann spent the next 67 years raising a beautiful family, operating a dairy with Guernsey cattle, and raising chickens, pigs, Angus, Beef Master and Commercial cattle. They also grew grain, clover, hay and tomatoes.  Annie will be remembered as a beloved member of Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church, member of Arp Garden Club and dedicated volunteer for Arp civic and school activities.

Ann grew up loving to ride horses, play the piano, read and dance. She also developed an artistic appreciation of the great masters and antiques, and was an amazing seamstress. She learned to be an incredible cook and hostess after marriage.  Full time Mother and Homemaker, after their children began school she became a Teacher’s Aide at Arp ISD. Many past students still say she was the best.  She learned the historical relevance of antique furniture and architecture and taught restoration of antiques at Kilgore College.  Later she enjoyed working at Tyler Square Antiques selling antiques and getting to know others that appreciated their cultural and artistic significance.  Ann was a wonderful, loving mother, wife and friend with a generous spirit and approached life with a unique sense of humor.  She enjoyed sharing gifts with those less fortunate in a very private and humble way.  She had a kind and gentle way and was precious.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Hugo, Zackery Hugo, Ernie Gill, Jim Seale, Eddie Calicutt and Blake Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ted Echard, Sammy Wood, Jace Swonke, Corey Smith, and Joe Hull.
