Obituary of Inell Agnew

  Funeral services for Inell Choate Agnew, 86, of Troup, will be held at 10 :00 am, Monday, July 31, 2017, at Cottle Funeral Home chapel, Troup with the Reverend David Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home.

Mrs. Agnew passed away Friday, July 28, 2017, in Troup. She was born July 19, 1931, in De Queen, Arkansas, to the late Clarence Choate and Willie Mae Williams Choate. She was an LVN, a realtor and worked at Blue Flame Gas in Troup with lifelong friends.  She also worked at Box’s Drugstore. For years, she was a partner with her husband in Agnew Motor Company in Troup.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Troup and attended the Henry’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Trina Lynn Davis; a son, David Lee Agnew and 9 brothers and sisters.

She married Bobby Earl Agnew in Troup, March 20, 1952.

  Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Bobby Earl Agnew of Troup; a daughter, Brenda Walters and husband, Kenneth of Troup; daughter-in-law, Karen Agnew of Troup; grandchildren, Bob and Melissa Walters of Henderson, Jennifer and Robert Stinehour of Burnet, Ashley and Steve Frye of Troup; great grandchildren, Shelby Walters, Cooper Walters, Crosbie Walters, Abigail Stinehour, Aubrey Halbert and John David Frye; her dog, Lilly; a family friend, Juan Rodriquez; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Sunday, July 30, 2017.    

Pallbearers will be Byron Bass, Juan Rodriquez, Steve Frye, Kenneth Walters, Robert Stinehour, Roland Turner and Alex Turner.
