Obituary of Sue Williford Evans
Sue Williford Evans, 61, of Whitehouse, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 in Longview after a very lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, June 30, 2017 at Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine with visitation from noon until service time. Reverends Nathan Briggs and Weldon Blackmon will be officiating with interment to follow at Dickerson Cemetery.
Sue was born in Center, Texas to the late Chester Williford and Loraine Davis Jones on December 4, 1955. She retired from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches after almost 20 years of service as an accounts payable clerk. Sue was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend and she will be very much missed.
She and Calvin Evans married December 4, 1990 and enjoyed twenty-six and a half years together. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Angela Robin Shoalmire, and two brothers Eddie Williford and Curtis Williford. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin Evans of Whitehouse; son & daughter in law, Nicholas & Mary Shoalmire of Converse, LA; stepdaughter & son in law, LeeAnna & Corey Farmer of West Virginia; five grandchildren: Dylan, Robyn and Randi Shoalmire and Zach and Steven Farmer; also other family members: sister in law, Sue Williford, stepmother and husband Elaine & Joe Yarbrough, step sisters & husbands: Connie Fletcher of Teneha, Debbie & Allen Sims of Shelbyville, Kathy Lee of Timpson, Patricia Bush of Center and Donna & Bobby Penny of Teneha and stepbrother and wife, Danny & Vonda Windham of Nacogdoches, brothers in law & wife, Elton Evans and Charles and Barbara Evans of San Augustine, sisters in law and husbands, Maxine & Billy Rogers and Patsy & Carrol Adkins and a dear friend Becca Hamblett; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
There will be a visitation at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup, Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 6-8 pm.
Funeral services under the directions of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup and Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine.
