Obituary of Bailey James Morgan
Funeral services for Bailey James Morgan, 29, Tyler, will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Green Acres Baptist Church in the Galilee Room. Rev. Bryan Grant and Rev. John Ussery will be officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
Mr. Morgan passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 in Tyler. He was born February 19, 1988 in Dallas to Jamie Todd Morgan and the late Vicki Naomi Arnold Morgan. He was an amazing son, brother, friend, coworker, and was loved by many. He graduated Arp High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society, actively involved in band and sports. He attended East Texas Baptist University and Tyler Junior College. Bailey was employed at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler where he recently received a promotion as the Patient Access Supervisor of Customer Service. He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and was active with Wired. He led several events, and served on the Wired leadership team in 2015 and 2016. Mr Morgan coordinated and assisted in a number of events through the Wired Ministry including service projects, retreats, bible studies and, fellowship activities, as well as leading worship at several events.
Bailey also was involved in multiple other ministries such as Revamp at CrossPoint Church, Bible studies and was a worship leader for the Fierce Faith, Chillin’ & Grillin’ with Wired on Thursdays, and Friday nights House of Faith. His accomplishment were many, he used his gifts God gave him and his ability to play the guitar and sing was a blessing to many. He loved serving the Lord and wanted to be a witness and give encouragement to others in everything he did. He loved painting, cooking, singing, worshiping, sharing his testimony and personal obstacles he overcame, and witnessing to others any chance he could.
Besides his mother, Bailey was also preceded in death by his twin brother, Blake Houston Morgan, his grandparents, E. F. Arnold, C. D. and Johnnie Morgan.
Survivors include his father, Jamie Morgan of Arp; a sister, Maegan Morgan of Troup; a niece and nephew, Kayden and Kendall Beasley of Troup; his grandmother and her husband, Annabell Arnold Carlile and Ed Carlile of Arp, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, Avis, other relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Arnold, Wesley Arnold, Christopher Moore, Cody Dyer, and Travis Jones.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Wired Ministry of Green Acres Baptist Church.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 21 from 5 to 7 pm at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home in Overton.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions made to the Wired Singles Ministry, 1607 Troup Hwy, Tyler, Texas 75701, in honor of Bailey Morgan.
