Obituary of Larkey F. Thompson

Funeral services for Larkey F. Thompson 89, of Tyler, will be held 3:30 pm, Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Tyler. Reverend Ron Herring will be officiating the service and interment will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup. Larkey Thompson passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 in Tyler, Texas. He was born in Troup to the late Richard Thuston Thompson and Ola Sadler Thompson. Larkey was a lifetime resident of the area and a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ola Thompson; two brothers, John Thuston Thompson and James Overton Thompson; and one sister, Nettie Olla Thompson Soules. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Billie Breedlove Thompson of Tyler; son, Tommy Thompson & wife Pamela of Troup; daughter, Ann Hammrick & husband Danny of Houston; one grandchild, Danielle Hamrick; Joy and Taylor Griffin, The Chad Wright Family, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends and loved ones at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup, Monday, November 7, 2016 from 4-6 pm. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Soules, Hugh Soules, Chad Wright, Hayden Wright, Chip Richardson, and Wayne Young.
