Obituary of James Richard Fleming
A celebration of the life of James Richard Fleming, 86, New London, will be at 10:00am, Saturday, August 20, 2016, at the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel with Andy Jones and Clark Cipoletta officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near New London. Arrangements are under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
Our beloved husband, father, and Paw Paw entered heaven Thursday, August 18, 2016. He was born May 23, 1930 in Virgil, Kansas to the late Jesse Josiah and Laura Pearl Woods Fleming. He received his BBA degree from the University of Houston. He married Beverly Louise Claypool on April 15, 1950 and they celebrated 66 years together. He was a retired business owner of the Roadrunner and Fleming Lease Service in New London and was the organist at Selman City Christian Church in Turnertown, Texas.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Blanche Ione Fleming, Clark Milton Fleming, Mildred Louise Fleming Pusey, Jean Woods Fleming, and Amanda Jane Fleming Hooks and son in laws Robert Cipoletta, Jerry Martin, and Scott Thompson.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Fleming; a son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Jenny Fleming of Dallas; three daughters and a son-in-law, Jem Susan Fleming and Andy Jones of New London, Linda Gail Cole of Kilgore, Dawn Elaine Martin of New London; grandchildren and their spouses, Jeri Lynn and Heath Huffman, Roxanne Renee and Devyn Sumners, Jennifer Williams, Cassidy Dean and Becky Cole, Laura Castro, Clark and Lindsey Cipoletta, Kimberly Jean Thompson, and Adam Williams; great grandchildren, Shyanne Rose Tidwell, Chloe Louise Tidwell, Christian Castro, Kylie Huffman, Bryce Huffman, Caitlyn Howell, Lona Cole, Gracie Williams, Maddox Potts, and Boston Cipoletta; brother-in-law, Bob Hooks; sister-in-law, Dilcie Fleming; great nieces, Tiara Honzell Calcote and Heather Honzell Smith, as well as numerous other relatives.
The pallbearers will be Cassidy Cole, Adam Williams, Christian Castro, Devyn Sumners, Marcus Mitchell, David Davis, Josh Drinning and Darvy Mann.
