Obituary of Dedra Ann Harvey

Services for Dedra Ann Harvey, 50, of Whitehouse will be Tuesday, July19, at 10:00 am in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel, Overton with Reverend Samuel Priddy officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park in Tyler. Dedra was born February 24, 1966 in Athens to the late James Benjamin Thompkins and Hazel Jo Lecius Thompkins. She was a life long resident of East Texas and graduated from John Tyler High School. She married Stephen ‘Peanut’ Harvey September 21, 1985 in Tyler and for the last 31/2 years has been employed with JC Penney’s as a Custom Designer of Windows. She attended the Lord’s House in Tyler and she was a very proud wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Stephen ‘Peanut’ Harvey of Whitehouse, a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Michael and Kelsey Harvey of Chapel Hill; a daughter and son-in-law, Krystal and Colby Rowe, Tyler; a brother, Ricky Thompkins, Whitehouse; a sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Richard Herrera, Tyler; a granddaughter, Bailee Grace Harvey, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Richard Herrera, Tommy Sparks, Robert Sparks, Ray Hernandez, Brian Wilkins, and Stephen Michael Harvey. Honorary pallbearers Carl Herrera, Ricky Thompkins, Colby Rowe, and Robert Minchew. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm at the funeral home Monday, July 18.
