Obituary of Cecelia Ann Foreman

Funeral services for Cecelia ‘Ann’ Foreman 76, will be held 10:30 am, Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Cottle Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Doug Blanton will be officiating with interment to follow at Bullard Cemetery under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup. Ann Foreman, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, entered into eternal peace on June 8, 2016 after a lengthy battle with Lewy body Dementia. She was born on April 10, 1939 in York, Alabama to the late Cecil Doggett and Juanita Masters Doggett. Ann graduated from Sumter County High School in 1957. In April of 1959 she met James Foreman, a fireman in the Air Force stationed in Spokane, Washington. They married in September that same year and eventually relocated to Tyler. Ann & James had two daughters and were married for 57 years. Ann attended Barber School in 1980 in Tyler. She graduated in 1981 and opened Ann’s Barber Shop in Troup. Ann owned the shop in Troup for 10 years then moved her shop to Whitehouse and cut hair for another 15 years until she retired. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Troup, loved cutting hair, gardening, and especially activities with her grandchildren. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Sherry Diane Caperton and brother, Bill Doggett. Survivors include her husband, James Foreman of Tyler; daughter, Melinda Smith & husband Greg of Hideaway; grandchildren, Shiann Smith and Justin Rinlee of Hideaway, Jordan Smoker & husband Brad of Tyler, Holton Hasty and Hayden and Megan Caperton all of Tyler. Pallbearers will be Justin Rinlee, Holton Hasty, Brad Smoker, Don Coon, Chris Coon and Walt Miles. Special thanks to Todd Rinlee and Pam Clark for their loving and caring acts during her stay at the Heights Nursing Home in Tyler. Also thanks to all the nurses and aids that cared for her. The family will receive friends and loved ones at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup Friday, June 10, 2016 from 6-8 pm.
