Obituary of Opal Frances Hornbuckle

Funeral services for Opal Frances Hornbuckle, 82, of Henderson will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel, Overton with Reverend Danny Menges officiating. Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery, Troup. Mrs. Hornbuckle died Sunday, June 5, 2016 in Henderson. She was born November 2, 1933 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to the late William Franklin and Ursula Pugh Good. Besides her parents, Mrs. Hornbuckle was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Kenneth Hornbuckle and sons, Kenneth Ward and Fred Dunlap, brothers, Jean Good, Jackie Good and sister, Billie Graham. She was a homemaker and was a resident of Henderson for 30 years. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Juliandra Gentry of New London; daughter, Patsy King of Brentwood, Tennessee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy Pugh of Henderson, John and Sandy Good of Alto, Bessie Good of Corpus Christi; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Paul Pachowicz of Caputa, South Dakota; ten grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Randall Gentry, Tim Wilson, Charles Gladden, Gary Williams, Ronnie Whatley and William Good. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, June 9, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, prior to service.
