Mr. Breashears died Friday, December 25, 2015 in Tyler. He was born February 8, 1949 in Poteau, Oklahoma to the late Eddie Hearl and Gracie Mae Brazil Breashears and moved to Overton in 1967. He joined the US Army April 10, 1969 and served until April 9, 1975. He worked most all his life in the oilfield in various areas and retired as a toolpusher. He was a member of the Bar None Cowboy Church.
Besides his parents, Mr. Breashears was also preceded in death by his step-father-in-law, Robert ‘Pete’ Smith.
Survivors include his wife Frances Breashears, Overton; a son and daughter-in-law, Eddie William Lee and Kimberly Breashears, Kilgore; a daughter and son-in-law, Mistie Mae and Joel Bisnette, Overton; a sister, Oletta Mae Morton, Grands, Oklahoma; and five grandchildren, Dena Mae Serna, Cristain Baker, Hannah Breashears, Alyssa Breashears and Adam Baker; a great grandson, Cannon Serna; and his mother-in-law, Lillie Mae Smith.
Butch was a loving Christian, a devoted family man, a hardworking, dedicated oilfield man. He was our “Honey”. We will love him forever.
