Obituary of William Marshall Lee

Services for William “Bill” Marshall Lee Jr., 77, Arp, will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 9, at the Chandler Street Church of Christ, Kilgore, with Chris Vidacovich, Bob Payne, and Wayne Brown officiating. Burial will be military service at the Overton City Cemetery, Overton. Arrangements are under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton. Mr. Lee died Sunday, December 6, 2015 in Tyler. He was born September 15, 1938 in Winton, NC to the late William Marshall Lee Sr. and Ruby Lee. He was a field superintendent for Goldston Oil for 21 years. After retiring from Goldston Oil, he worked for West Mountain Operating as a consultant. He enjoyed his work in his church and especially enjoyed the Monday night for the Master. He was in the United States Air Force from November 2, 1955 to October 3, 1957 and was a member of the Chandler Street Church of Christ in Kilgore. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Nancy Lee, Arp; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Sara Lee and Casey Lee True of Overton, Jane Lee and Robert Shawn Valdetero Overton, Billie Jean Lee and Justin Adam Lee of Overton, three sisters, Victoria Bryant of Clyde, Ruby Wilson of Red Oak, and Gladys Shaver of Conway, NC; a brother and sister-in-law, Arthur Robert and Donna Lee of El Campo; 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Joe Zalman IV, Joshua Zalman, Matthew Zalman, Donald Lee, Justin Lee, Shawn Valdetero, Jason Valdetero & Casey Freeman. Honorary pallbearers will be Samuel Rives, Elbert Rives, Vernon Hughes, Daniel Mendez, V.J. Mach, Bobby Lee, Jesse Lee, & Danny Weems. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
