My thoughts and prayers are with Scott’s family today. I pray you will find comfort in your time of sorrow. I am sorry I could not attend services today. I have great memories with Scott from back in our McD days in the 1990s where we both worked as managers. I could tell many good and humorous stories about Scott from those days. The Scott I knew was a great people person and was liked by everyone. Scott knew how to give and take a joke or prank. He was a good friend and I am sorry we didn’t stay in touch more after I moved away and after he got married. I had always intended to try and look Scott up again and have some good laughs with him about the early 1990s. Forgive my long post as I want to share one story…. I know Scott was loyal to his family and this was illustrated to me by Scott the first week I met him in 1989 as I started working for McD where Scott was a manager, where my brother worked, and I was just hired as a crew person. On that busy Friday night Scott called me into the McD office and explained that since my younger brother no-showed for work that he, Scott, would be required to fire my brother when/if he did actually show for work. Then Scott said he understood if I wanted to walkout and quit work (basically in protest of my brothers firing.) I was surprised at his offer, but I told Scott I was staying at work. Scott was mentally preparing to work more short-handed because he understood family loyalty. I can still remember how serious he was taking his responsibility at that moment, and how much he cared for me as an employee that he just met. I have thought about Scott more the last couple years, especially after I heard about his father’s passing, for which I also offer my sincere condolences. Scott, I will be praying for your family.
