Obituary of Martha Ann Galloway

Funeral services for Martha Galloway, 67 of Jacksonville, will be held Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Cottle Funeral Home Chapel in Troup with Reverend Jan Evan Pate and Michele Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery, Troup. Ms. Galloway passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2015 in Jacksonville, Texas. Martha was born December 14, 1947 in Jacksonville, Texas to Johnny Woodville Pate and Ima Mildred Wyatt Pate. Martha was of the Pentecostal faith and attended the First Church on the Hill in Rusk. Martha and her husband James fostered countless children throughout their lives and loved every one of the children they cared for. She was preceded in death by her husband; James Galloway, her parents; Johnny and Ima Pate, one sister, three brothers and her son James Steven Galloway. She is survived by her children; Leigh Thurman of Bullard, Dennis Galloway of Teague, Jonathan Galloway of Baytown, Spring Wells of Pollick, Louisiana, April Galloway of Houston, Angel Galloway of Granite, Illinois, and Brandi Anderson of Jacksonville, one brother; Kelvin Pate of Coldspring, as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Buddy Husband, Kenneth Schoppe, Charlie Wells, Christopher Wells, Kent Thurman and Brian Futch. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
