Obituary of Theron Ray Boothe

Private services were held for Theron Ray Boothe, 93, Tyler, formerly of Overton, Monday, August 10, 2015, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near New London. Arrangements are under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton. Mr. Boothe died Saturday, August 8, 2015 in Tyler. He was born July 20, 1922 in Vivian Louisiana to the late George and Jane Dean Broadway Boothe. He was a survivor of the London School explosion and a veteran of the US Navy. He retired from Texaco where he was a underwater pipeline inspector. He married Miriam Dougherty Boothe in 1951 and they traveled the world before returning to Overton to retire, the place they met in 1931. Besides his parents, Mr. Boothe was preceded in death by his wife Mariam Boothe on May 29, 2010 and a great-nephew, Jason B. Wilson. Survivors include a brother, James David Boothe, Tyler; a nephew, David Bartlett Booth, Dallas; a niece, Jamie Robinson, Overton; and a great-nephew, Daniel Flint Wilson, Overton.
