Obituary of Alettia Brown Mahan
Services for Alettia Brown Mahan, 80, Arp, will be at 3:00 pm, Sunday, July 19, 2015 in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Rohn Boone officiating. She will be laid to rest at Mason Cemetery.
Mrs. Mahan passed from this world to her Lord Jesus Christ Thursday, July 16, 2015 in Tyler. She was born to Virgle and Addie Mae Brown December 22, 1934 in Arp. She graduated from Arp High School in 1953 and attended Tyler Junior College where she became a member of the Apache Bells. She married Kenneth W. Mahan December 1956.
Mrs. Mahan was a faithful wife, a dedicated and loved mother, grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. All that knew her loved her very much and she will always be in our thoughts and prayers until one day we meet in Heaven.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, R.D. Mahan of Arp and Randy and Laura Mahan of Longview; grandsons, Christifer J. Mahan, Chad Mahan and Joe Morton; and a cousin, Bobby Joe Bibbey, LaMarque.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Mahan, Randy Mahan, Chris Mahan and Chad Mahan.
Honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Joe Bibbey.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Sunday, July 19, 2015 prior to the service.
