Obituary of Jarod Scott Seal

Funeral services for Jarod Scott Seal, 34, Lake Striker, are scheduled for 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Cottle Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Matt Thomas officiating. Private family burial, under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup. Jarod passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 in Illinois. He was born July 24, 1980 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Dan Seal and Robyn Wells Seal. Jarod worked for VME Process in Oil and Gas as the Production Scheduler. He was in the Scout Troop in Troup where he received his Eagle Scout. He loved coaching soccer in Whitehouse at the YMCA, he was a member of Whitehouse United Methodist Church. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family. He was very much of an outdoors person. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Seal of Lake Striker; children, Hunter Seal, Londyn DeFreece, Chandler DeFreece all of Lake Striker; parents, Dan and Robyn Seal of Troup; brother Justin Seal and wife Erica of Jacksonville; niece Lanie Seal of Jacksonville; grandmother Helen Seal of Tyler; mother-in-law and father-in-law Julie and Tim Warkins of Tampico, Illinois and numerous aunts, uncles and extended family members. He was preceded in death by great grandmother Helen Donnley, father-in-law Jim Lackas, grandfathers Jesse Seal, Roylan Wells and grandmother Wilma Conley. Pallbearers will be Dan Seal, Justin Seal, Lance Stanley, Jared Borne, Daniel Dallas and Mike Shepherd. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Sublette, Tim Warkins and James Lackas. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, June 23, 2015.
