Obituary of George Thomas Wilson
Funeral services for George Thomas Wilson, 76, Arp, will be at 10:00 am,
Tuesday, February 10, 2015, in the Wright City Baptist Church with Reverends Rohn Boone and Richard Boone officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Arp, under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
Mr. Wilson, a US Army veteran, died Saturday, February 7, 2015, in Arp. He was born December 23, 1938, in Houston, to the late R.T. and Leona Wendler Wilson.
Besides his parents, Mr. Wilson was also preceded in death by a son, David Wilson, three brothers, and one sister.
Survivors include wife Barbara Wilson, Arp; a son, Mark Wilson, Arp; three daughters and sons in law, Angela and Denny Sanderson, Brownsboro, Christy and Jody Gibson, Tyler, and Amber and Lonnie Petty, Arp; a foreign exchange daughter, Jamie Kim, Seoul, South Korea; two brothers, Richard Wilson and Henry Wilson, both of Houston; eleven grandchildren, Blake Wilson, Cory Wilson, B. J. Wilson, Ashton Lancaster, Adam Wilson, Presley Sanderson, Rylie Sanderson, Macauley Sanderson, Chloe Petty, Clarissa Petty and Carson Petty; five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Presley Sanderson, Rylie Sanderson, Macauley Sanderson, Denny Sanderson, Jody Gibson and Lonnie Petty. Honorary pallbearers will be B. J. Wilson and Cory Wilson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, February 9, 2015.
