Obituary of Loren George Pritchard
Services for Loren G. Pritchard, 90, Laird Hill, will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 30, at the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel, Overton with Reverends Johnny Wright and Bill Arden officiating. Burial will be in Rusk County Memorial Gardens, Henderson with Military Honors.
Mr. Pritchard died Sunday, October 26, 2014 at his residence. He was born December 31, 1923 in Stone County, Missouri to the late Cleadie Elzie and Amanda Siesser Pritchard. He married Freda Hedrick, July 27, 1946 in Reeds Spring, Missouri and has been a resident of Overton for the past 68 years. He served in the US Army as a Military Policeman and retired after twenty years as a truck driver/welder for Tretolite Corporation, Kilgore. He was a Master Mason in good standing for 50 + years and a member of the Masonic Lodge Danville #101 and a member of the Laird Hill Assembly of God.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Pritchard was also preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Freda Pritchard on February 23, 2009, and a sister, Marie Cline.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Ruby Nell Pritchard, Clancy, Montana; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Charlotte and Billy Howard and Carol Reed, all of Overton and Kathy and Harry Hamilton, Tatum; brother, Efton Pritchard, Reeds Spring, MO; nine grandchildren, Kim Riley, Stephanie Vaught, Wesley Norman, Justin Pritchard, Jon Norman, Susan Stewart, Joey Stewart, Holly Hamilton, and April Dygert; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; a God sent companion and friend, his dog “Jackie”, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Justin Pritchard, Joey Stewart, Jon Norman, Wesley Norman, Dennis Pritchard, Efton Pritchard, Harry Hamilton, and Curtis Riley.
Honorary Pallbearers will be great grandsons and great great grandsons, Tanner Riley, Kaleb Stewart, Gavin Stewart, Jacob Dygert, Reed Norman, Tyler Stewart, Cullen Davis, and Gunner Davis.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, October 29.
