Obituary of Glenda Sue Tucker

Funeral services for Glenda Sue “GeGe’ Tucker, 69, Overton, will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, Oct 4, 2014 in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home chapel with Reverends Johnny Wright & Atwell Hankins officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Overton. Mrs. Tucker died Wednesday, Oct 1, 2014 in Tyler. She was born December 8, 1944 in Overton to the late J. T. and Melba Jewette Brown Sartor and she was a lifelong resident of Overton. She was a homemaker, loved her grandchildren and she was loved by all. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Charles Sartor and a grandson, Garrett Major Rhoades. Survivors include her husband, Charles Tucker, Overton; four daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Jay Youngblood, Longview; Amy and Barry Rhoades, Jamie and Richard Cherry, and Jena and Jason Burks, all of Overton; a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Dorothy Sartor, Overton; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, JoAnn Smart, Toledo Bend, Carolyn Stanley, Donna and Freddie Crumpler and Judy and Keith Thomas, all of Overton; ten grandchildren, Spencer Youngblood, Skylar Youngblood, Erin and Kevin Ferguson, Austin and Morgan Rhoades, Logan Rhoades, Grayson Rhoades, Emerson Cherry, Weston Gillis, Aden Williams, Daisy Williams, and Koy Burks; a great granddaughter, Miss Baileigh Ferguson; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Austin Rhoades, Logan Rhoades, Grayson Rhoades, Weston Gillis, Aden Williams, Emerson Cherry, Mike Rogers and Steven Lee. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 3, at the funeral home.
