Obituary of Jo Ann Ramey
Services for JoAnn Ramey, 67, Arp, will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, May 14 at The Father’s House, Joinerville with Pastor Billy Fergerson officiating. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery, Wright City. Arrangements are under direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
Mrs. Ramey died Saturday, May 10, 2014 at her residence in Arp. She was born May 19, 1946 in Rawls to the late John and Leona Poindexter. She married Billy Ramey March 4, 1971 and moved to Arp three years ago from Winona. She worked as a custodian for Carlisle ISD and was a member of The Fathers House in Joinerville.
Mrs. Ramey was very crafty and enjoyed designing floral arrangements, bird houses, and wedding cakes for her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Billy Gene Lane, and two sisters, Yvonne Hickey and Bonnie Lucille Gagne.
Survivors included her husband, Bill Ramey, Arp; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Stephen Lynn and Tamara Ihlenfeldt, Arp, and Danny Boy Ihlenfeldt, Overton; a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie Sue and Ronnie Burks, Troup; a daughter-in-law, Melissa Lane, Overton; fourteen grandchildren, B. J., Scooter, Destiny, Stephenie, TristanBradley, Caleb, Logan, Brianna, Taylor, Aiden, Nikki, D.J., and Justin; sixteen great grandchildren; nieces and spouses, Debbie and James Singletary and Carol Robertson.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Burks, Stephen Ihlenfedt, B.J. Wilson, Tristan Winn, Bradley Ihlenfeldt-Hudson, and Caleb Winn. Honorary Pallbearers will be Danny Ihlenfedt, D.J. Ihlenfeldt, Justin Ihlenfeldt, John Robertson, Jeremy Robertson and Jeff Robertson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m.
