Obituary of Bailey Brown Hays

Funeral services for Bailey “Bill” Hays, 91, Whitehouse, will be 11:00 am, Monday, April 21, 2014 at Cottle Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Jim Norman and Barry Brown officiating. Burial will be at Cathedral In The Pines Cemetery, Tyler, under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup. Mr. Hays died Friday, April 18, 2014, in Tyler. He was born September 17, 1922 in Minden, Texas to the late Will D. Hays and Ollie May Cates Hays. He was preceded in death by his sons, Bailey Brown Hays, Jr., Billy Hays and 3 brothers. Survivors include his wife Rachel Welchel Hays , Whitehouse; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Sandra Hays, Troup, Gary and Teresa Skinner, Winona; daughters and sons-in-law; Norma and Warren Perkins, Whitehouse, Frances And Tom Poeschl, Chapel Hill, Myrtie and Marion Kinnett, Chapel Hill, Charlotte Salinas, Whitehouse, Judy Curbow, Whitehouse, Angela and Joe Jenkins, Terrell; sister, Bonnie Brady, Minden, TX; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Visitation for friends will be 10:00 am -11:00 am, Monday, Prior to service.
