Obituary of Marie Chirhart

Mrs. Marie York Chirhart, 58, of Arlington passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014 at her residence after an extended illness. Funeral service will be at 7:00 pm, Monday, April 14, and visitation will be 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm prior to service at Skyvue Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield with the Reverend Dr. Michael Stedham officiating. Marie was born, September 22, 1955 in Temple, Texas to Horace H. York and Leatha Rea McMurtry York. She had been a supervisor for AIG and worked in the Health Care Profession for many years. She graduated from Mary Hardin, Baylor with a RN/BSN degree in 1978. Marie is survived by: her husband, Edward F. “Bud” Chirhart of Arlington; two daughters: Cassandra Anne Chirhart and Kathryn Marie Chirhart both of Arlington, mother, Rea McMurtry York of Troy, TX and sisters and brother-in-law, Pamela York Stahr and Jimmy of Troy, TX and Debra York of Mansfield, TX, brother and sister-in-law, H. “Bubba” York and Diana of Midlothian, TX, sister-in-law, Ann Chirhart, Waco. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews and their spouses: Stephanie York, Christa York, Jimmy and Andrea Stahr, Ed and Nicole Stahr, Dr. Scotty Chirhart and wife Katie and Michael Chirhart and wife Karen, along with many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Stahr,Jr., Ed Stahr, Michael Chirhart, Dr. Scotty Chirhart, Mike McMurtry, Craig McMurtry and H. “Bubba” York. Contributions can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, pancan.org. Funeral service will be at 6:30 pm, Tuesday, April 15, and visitation will be 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm prior to service at First Christian Church in Temple with Gary McMurtry officiating.
