Obituary of Verda Moler

Services for Verda L. Moler, 88, Troup, are scheduled for 1:00 pm, Friday, June 10 at the Cottle Funeral Home chapel, Troup with Gary Chesshir officiating. Burial will be in the Gossett's Chapel Cemetery, Jacksonville. Mrs. Moler died Monday, June 6, 2011 at her residence. She was born February 21, 1923, in Troup to the late Thomas Jefferson Duvall and Mary Pearl Humphreys Duvall. She was a lifetime resident of Troup and retired from Trane following 25 years of employment. She married Oscar E. Moler, December 13, 1941, in Rusk. He preceded her in death January 14, 2008. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three brothers and four sister. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Elaine Moler, Troup; daughter, Regina Gray, Henderson; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Olene Duvall, South Carolina; five grandchildren and their spouses, Catherine and Chad Conner, Waco, Carrie and Chris Tutt, Temple, Jimmy Dale Moler, Mesquite, Jerrie De Ann and Garry Parton, Henderson and Patrick and Jennifer Gray, Garwin, Iowa; great-grandsons, Maddox Conner, Grayson Conner, Caden Conner, Kory Parton and Colby Gray; great-granddaughters, Reagan Tutt and Kelli Parton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Chad Conner, Chris Tutt, Michael George, James Walker, Richard Cameron, Jimmy Dale Moler and Larry Smith.  The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 until 7:00 pm, Thursday, June 9. Memorials if desired may be made to the Gosset's Chapel Church of Christ, ? Bill Peevy, 20797 CR 2199, Troup, Texas 75789 or to their local Alzheimer's Association.
