Obituary of John Randall Cornelison

Services for John Randall Cornelison, 69, Troup, are scheduled for 4:00 pm, Thursday, June 9 at the Cottle Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Doctor Paul Saylors officiating. Private burial will be in Mixon Cemetery. Mr. Cornelison left this earthly world to be with his Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST, Monday, June 6, 2011. He was born July 30, 1941, to the late John Paschal Cornelison and Ruby Olene Cornelison. He was a graduate of Troup High School and attended Tyler Junior College where he played in the Apache band. Mr. Cornelison was a professional musician who played with many well known artists. Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Frankie Olene and Clyde Colvin, Dallas; niece and her husband, Elizabeth Ann and Jerial Knight, Troup; nephew and his wife, Dana Alan And Vicki Stainback, Chandler; two great nephews and their wives, Mancil Shawn and Linda Dawkins, Fort Worth and Chad Alan and Wendy Stainback; great-great nephew, Brady Don Stainback, Fort Worth; special cousins and their wives, Mac and Patsy Cornelison, Gene and Carolyn Hill, and Glenn and Linda Cornelison, all of Troup; special friends, Richard Dixson, and Larry Bearden; and little friends, Victor and Scarlett Osborne. Honorary pallbearers will be Mac Cornelison, Gene Hill Shawn Dawkins, Gordon Strickland, Howard Bishop, Larry Bearden, Keith Osborne, and Richard Denson. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm, Wednesday,  June 8. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Troup Band Booster Club, P.O.
